Planning your budget for your bathroom remodeling project

While you can do some of the preliminary budgeting yourself, it always helps to consult with a professional before making any final decisions.  At Dore and Sons we have years of experience remodeling bathrooms will know how to maximize your budget.  Once we discuss your project we can narrow in on the materials and labor costs to provide you with an accurate estimate for your project.  Our experience also allows us to better account for any unexpected changes that may arise.

We want our customers to be comfortable that the completed project will match their vision and budget.  We will itemize each aspect of your remodel so you can make the best choices.

Why it makes sense to budget for the best in bathroom remodeling

Your project is not just to improve the aesthetics and functionality of your bathroom, but it is an investment in your home.  You may not get a return on your investment if you budget incorrectly, especially if that means choosing poor quality materials or deciding to go with many of the unlicensed contractors.  With On Point Builders you are working with a licensed, bonded, and insured contractor who stands behind our work.  This means we may not be the most inexpensive option, however, you can rest assured that you will be happy with your new bathroom for years to come.

Bathroom remodeling costs to consider

With a combined 40+ years in construction and remodeling, we know what we are looking for when we look at your bathroom to asses the costs. If you are looking to only update your bathroom with some paint, we can refer to you some of our friends. Customers typically call us when they are looking to completely upgrade their bathroom and add tens of thousands of dollars in value to their home while creating a much more aesthetic, personalized, and ergonomic room.

Most projects start with a conversation between us and the customer to make sure we are a good fit for your project.  If we decide we are a good fit the next step will be an onsite visit so we can get a better idea of the scope of your bathroom remodeling project.  While some customers may have worked out every detail; others we will work with are looking for our input – and we are happy to help there too.

Once we finalize the details of your bathroom remodel; we can then provide and accurate itemized cost for the project.  This included the materials for the flooring, tiles, countertops, vanity, and every other detail.  Changes to the build can still be made after that, but it may affect costs one way or another.  This is also when we like to discuss a timeline for your bathroom remodel.  In addition to taking pride in the quality of our work; we also pride ourselves to complete projects in a timely manner.

When we assess the cost of a bathroom remodel, we start by sitting down with the home owner what they are trying to accomplish and sharing our thoughts on what will look the best in their home. We do find that some customers don’t know what they are looking for just yet and that they will end up looking for our guidance on what

We stay on top of current industry best practices, building codes, and trends in bathroom decor.  We also work on new home builds and know what features not only may best suit you, but are what home buyers are looking for when purchasing a new home.  Some recent trends include floating cabinets, luxury showers, and lighter, softer color choices.  Many of our customers are choosing to go with low-flow toilets, low-flow shower heads, and tankless water heaters to reduce water costs and minimize their environmental impact.

For our clients that are looking to make multiple improvements to their home, we are your one-stop shop. We encourage to you look through our options in basement finishing costs and kitchen remodeling costs and discuss with us further once you have decided to move forward.
